Specialized services for pruning and felling trees at risk of falling

According to the needs felt in terms of the management and maintenance of the green spaces of the sports facilities of the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor, there is a need to carry out an intervention with specialized arboriculture services in the formal garden of the tennis center.

After a survey carried out on site, it is considered necessary to carry out the maintenance and conservation pruning of nine trees and the felling of twenty-one specimens of cedars, as they are aged, dry and/or sloping and at risk of falling. The identified trees are unstable, due to the conditions of planting on the slope, causing the dragging of earth and the degradation and collapse of the existing drainage ditch in the garden, with dry legs on the Costa road and on existing electricity infrastructures.

The proposed felling and pruning works are essential, not only to prevent the future fall of the specimens on people and property, but also to intervene and rehabilitate the existing stone drainage ditch in the garden that is at risk of collapse.

The trees to be intervened are identified in the attached schematic plan.
